The Web Reasoning and Rule Systems Conference 2014 will take place in hotel Amarilia located in Vouliagmeni, one of the nicest suburbs of Athens. The hotel is only a few steps away from a sandy beach and has magnificent views of the sea and the surrounding area.

A block of rooms have been reserved at a special price for the participants of the Web Reasoning Rule Systems Conference 2014 and the Reasoning Web Summer School.

How to get to the Amarilia Hotel

You can reach the Amarilia Hotel either by using the public transportation or getting a taxi.

Athens Metro

The Airport is accessible via Athens Metro, Line 3 (blue line) - "Athens International Airport-Aghia Marina". In order to reach the Amarilia Hotel you will need to switch to the Line 2 (red line) in station Syntagma and get the metro with direction Ellinikon, where you will disembark. From there you can either get a bus to the hotel or a taxi.

Bus

From Elliniko:

Take the E22 st. Metro Elliniko - Saronida (Express) bus line. Bus stop: "Aghios Nikolaos" (in Greek "Άγιος Νικόλαος"). The hotel is 250 m (3 mins) away. You can find here a map with the bus stations you will need.

From the airport:

Take the X96 Aerolimenas Athinon - Peiraias (Express) bus line directly from the airport. The Amarilia hotel is 800 m away from the bus stop "Pigadakia" (in Greek "Πηγαδάκια"), but you can also disembark in the bus stop "Plateia Glyfadas" (in Greek "Πλατεία Γλυφάδας") and take a taxi from there to the hotel.

Taxi

The airport is also accessible by taxi on a 24-hour basis. Passengers reaching the Airport disembark at the Departures level, where they can proceed directly to the check-in counters. When leaving the airport, please make use of the taxi queue next to Door 3 of the Arrivals Level. Prebooked taxis are provided upon request and make use of the inner curb of the Arrivals Level as a staging area.

If you prefer to get the metro from the airport and disembark at the Ellinikon station, you can also take a taxi from there. The instructions would be "Amarilia Hotel, Aghiou Nikolaou street".

How to get to the center of Athens from the Amarilia Hotel

To reach the centre of Athens from the hotel you will follow the same instructions. You can get a taxi or the E22 bus line (backward direction) in order to reach the Ellinikon metro station. From there take the metro (Line 2) and disembark at the station Syntagma (the centre of Athens) or Acropolis.

Metro Map

The Athens Metro network has three lines: Line 1 (ISAP or Μ1), and Lines 2 and 3 (Μ2 and Μ3).

  • Green line-ISAP: Piraeus - Kifissia

Line 1 - ISAP (Μ1) is a key link between the port of Piraeus and the northern suburbs of Athens via the city centre. The station at Maroussi (Neratziotissa) is an interchange station between the Metro (ISAP or M1), the Suburban Railway (Proastiakos) and the Attiki Odos motorway.

  • Red line: Anthoupoli - Elliniko

Metro Line 2 connects western and southern Athens. The latest additions to the metro system are Anthoupoli station, serving the western suburbs, and Elliniko station, serving the southern suburbs.

  • Blue line: Aghia Marina – International Airport

Metro Line 3 connects the city centre with the northern suburbs (Halandri and Doukissis Plakentias stations) and with the International Airport.
